o Nene Nukem Frequently Asked Questions:

   Q: What is Nene Nukem?
A: Nene Nukem is a conversion patch for Duke Nukem 3D. It replaces
Duke Nukem with Nene Romanova by modifying relevant graphics,
sounds, and cinematics. The patch is broken up into two parts.
Owners of PC Duke Nukem 3D v1.3d Registered & Shareware need only
download the first part. Owners of PC & Mac Duke Nukem 3D Atomic
versions require the first and second part.

   Q: Who's Nene?
A: Nene (pronounced "Nay Nay") is one of four members of a vigilante
organization known as the Knight Sabers. The Knight Sabers is
made up of Sylia Stingray, Priscilla Asagiri, Linna Yamazaki, and
      Nene Romanova.

Q: What's so special about Nene?
A: Whereas Priss specializes in close-up and personal melee combat
with munition and concussion based weapons, Nene relies on stealth
and defensive tactics. She provides Electronic Counter Measure,
tactical and communication support for the Knight Sabers during
battle. Although Nene lacks offensive capabilities, her good
looks and amazing brain makes her a valuable asset to the team.

o Ammunition Description:

Battery for hand laser: Rounds consist of a light weight, two
terminal battery. Emphasis of battery design was placed on high energy
throughput to meet the power demands of the laser emitter. As a result,
the storage device is irreversibly damaged as it discharges and can not
be recharged.

UHDU (Ultra Heavy Depleted Uranium) rounds for gravitic sling:
With a density 68% greater than lead, UHDU is capable of perforating any
armor with ease. The round consists of depleted uranium pellets encased
in a hollow polymer casing. Essentially a "hyper-kinetic shotgun" the
weapon is most lethal at close range but loses effectiveness with
distance due to pellet dispersion.

Power Cell for quantum laser: Rounds consist of a hydrogen power
cell with four times the storage capacity of similar sized alkaline
batteries but weighs only half as much. However, manufacturing such
high energy density devices is very expensive and places it out of reach
of most consumers.

HEJA (High Explosive Jet Assisted) rounds for 30mm gauss cannon:
Rounds consist of a micro-explosive warhead propelled by a fast-burning
solid rocket propellant engine. The gyrojet engine ignites after the
round leaves the cannon, accelerating the warhead towards the target.
HEJA rounds are designed for long range combat and will cause
substantial damage to the user if detonated at close range.

Killer Doll: Manufactured by USSD as an accessory for the Cynthia
Unit, the killer doll is disguised as a child's toy and can be detonated
by remote control. Using submicron lamellar structuring, the explosives
within the killer doll are effectively camouflaged and can not be
detected using existing explosive detection devices.

Shrinker/Expander ammo for graviton emitter: Rounds consist of
unstable quantum matter stored in a stasis crystal. Upon striking an
organic mass, the quantum matter imparts its inertial reference frame to
the target. Depending on whether the quantum matter is monophasic or
polyphasic, the target will either shrink (stable for a few seconds) or
expand (unstable, i.e., the object explodes).

HEAP (High Explosive Armor Piercing) rounds for Eliminator: Rounds
are similar to the APDS rounds in that they are made up of a carrier
unit and a depleted uranium penetrator. However, HEAP rounds contain a
directional explosive charge between the carrier and the penetrator that
detonates upon impact, driving the penetrator deeper into the target.
Although the majority of the explosive force is concentrated at the
target's surface, the reactionary shockwave can damage the user if fired
at close range.

S-Mine: Using a pressure activated quick setting adhesive, the S-
Mine will permanently "stick" to any solid surface. The mine activates
after a few seconds and will detonate if any object crosses it's laser
sensor.

Nitrogen cartridge for the Raven Special: Rounds consist of
globules of liquid nitrogen held within an electro-magnetic containment
field. Upon striking a target, the containment field bursts, releasing
a freezing blast of refrigerant.

o Story and Further Information

"OK, your turn, Nene," Sylia said.
"Huh? So do I have to do it too?" Nene responded half-heartedly.
"Naturally. I need the data to construct the programs for the new
suits," Sylia reassured her, "We'll do Level Five once more. Even an
ordinary girl can clear Level Five."
Somehow that did not make her feel any better. "OK... OK," Nene
whined as she stretched her arms and headed for the holo-simulator.
Linna emerged from the simulator hatch and said, "You've got to be
able to clear Level Five sooner or later, right?"
Nene did not know what to say. She just smiled nervously and gave
a passing salute as Linna closed the door behind her. The redhead put
herself into her best fighting stands as the holo-generator fired up.
"This is your third try," Sylia announced over the intercom, "Ready, go!"

Thanks for playing Nene Nukem!
